Wa Ho Ho Thanaka

As I've mentioned, women and children with faces coated in Thanaka is a very common sight in Burma.

Thanaka, is a traditional Burmese cosmetic made from bark, that also acts as a sunscreen. It's used throughout Burma, mostly by women and girls. Often it's applied in a variety of patterns in a tradition that goes back over 2000 years.
