Waiting for Dali

Posted by
Stephen Skok (ASCOT VALE, Australia) on 4 October 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

From Gandhi in India, to Diwali in Footscray, to Salvador Dalí: Liquid Desire at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, in 3 days.

This Dali exhibition is the first comprehensive retrospective of the work of Salvador Dalí ever to be staged in Australia at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) - the 6th exhibition in the Melbourne Winter Masterpieces series.

A collection of 200 stunning works by Salvador Dalí in a variety media including painting, drawing, watercolour, etchings, sculpture, fashion, jewellery, cinema and photography.

Did I mention that it was a 2 hour wait, on the last day of this block buster event?

Took this in the queue, about 15 minutes before getting on to the floor of the exhibition.

Canon G10, available light, hand held at 1/30th, f4.5, 400 ISO.
