Imperial Nuts & Bolts

Posted by
Stephen Skok (ASCOT VALE, Australia) on 2 November 2008 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

Another shot taken at the Biennale of Sydney 2008, in one of the industrial exhibition spaces on Cockatoo Island. This was a nuts & bolts store in one of the shipyard workshops. The sizes are all still marked in imperial measures - inches and fractions. Australia went metric, Pounds Shillings and Pence became Dollars and Cents, back in 1964 and measurement conversion commenced in 1970.
