Bill Spike At The Coliseum

My first ever evening meal, overseas, was at the Coliseum Cafe & Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It's been written that, " ... the Coliseum has a potent sense of colonial history. The dark wood saloon doors take you through to a dusty bar that hasn't changed since the hotel opened in 1921 (it seems the staff haven't changed since then either)." (Source, Lonely Planet, if you must know). Yes, some things have changed, the pith helmet perched on a hat stand since the 30's was no longer to be seen. However, one of the guys behind the bar said he's been there since 1967 and I'm sure I recognised him from 19..
